But in the meantime, I'd recommend downloading Google's browser, Google Chrome.  After a head-to-head competition here in the lab, the kids voted overwhelmingly in favor of it over Internet Explorer and Firefox, and it is now the official browser of our lab.  The number one reason? Speed. I'll have more info as to features and add-ons later...
